Meet The Team Welcoming Bower Care Home’s First Residents
The team at Bower Care Home are preparing to welcome their first residents, marking an exciting new chapter for Linlithgow’s newest care home.
Led by Home Manager Joanne Cunningham, the newly formed team have been busy preparing Bower Care Home for opening its doors to its first residents, with a shared focus on creating a warm and welcoming community where people can feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Joanne brings a wealth of experience to her role, having spent 19 years working within hospital settings before moving into care home management. Her extensive healthcare background, combined with her passion for delivering compassionate, person-centred care, will help shape the culture at Bower as the home welcomes its first residents and families.
While Bower Care Home may be new, the team behind it bring together experience, compassion and enthusiasm, united by a commitment to providing high-quality care and supporting residents to retain their independence and continue living life in a way that is meaningful to them.
Ahead of welcoming their first residents, colleagues have been spending time getting to know one another, completing training and working together to establish the values and standards that will underpin life at Bower Care Home.
For Joanne, building the right team from the very beginning has been an important part of creating a home where residents can continue to enjoy the routines, interests and independence that matter to them.

As the newest addition to Linlithgow’s care community, Bower Care Home has been thoughtfully designed to provide comfortable and welcoming surroundings, with spaces for residents to socialise, enjoy meaningful activities and spend time with visiting family and friends.
The team are particularly looking forward to seeing the home come to life as residents begin to move in, bringing with them their own personalities, stories, interests and experiences.
