This week marked an important moment for our home as we welcomed our first residents through the doors and began a new chapter together.
To mark the occasion, the first resident was welcomed alongside family and friends with afternoon tea in the café, accompanied by a traditional piper. It was a lovely opportunity to share this special moment with the people who matter most.
For Home Manager Joanne and the team, the day marked the beginning of something they have been working towards for some time.
Joanne said: “It’s been a pleasure for myself and the team to prepare the home ahead of residents starting to move in. Today has been a really special moment, something you don’t experience very often in your career, as you open your doors for the very first time.
“It’s been a mixture of emotions for all of us, but we’re so proud to have achieved this milestone. We now can’t wait to have the home filled with residents and for them and their loved ones to become part of the Bower family.”
As more residents settle into their new surroundings, the team looks forward to getting to know each person, learning what matters to them and helping them feel at home. For everyone involved, this is just the beginning of a new community built around the people who live there.
