My name is Blenda. I am a 54-year-old nurse from Portugal, and I have been a registered nurse since 2009. From an early age, I knew that I wanted a career caring for others. Nursing has allowed me to fulfil that ambition, and I consider myself a compassionate, caring and dedicated professional who enjoys making a positive difference in people’s lives.

Over the past several years, I have gained extensive experience working across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in a wide variety of healthcare settings. My experience includes medical and surgical wards, theatre recovery, emergency departments, care homes, and domiciliary care. These diverse roles have strengthened my clinical skills and reinforced my ability to adapt quickly to new environments, work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, and provide high-quality, patient-centred care.

I am excited to begin this new chapter in my life and career. I hope to settle in Scotland, where I can continue to develop professionally, contribute my experience and skills to the healthcare community, and provide compassionate, high-quality care to those who need it most.
