Joanne Takes The Helm At Bower Care Home

Bower Care Home is thrilled to welcome Joanne as our new manager, with nearly two decades of experience in hospital care and a few years leading care homes, Joanne brings a wealth of knowledge, a positive outlook and a genuine passion for making a difference.
Her journey into care home management began in 2024, driven by a desire to make a real difference in the care home sector. Since becoming a manager, she has focused on building strong, trusting relationships, fostering teamwork and promoting a positive culture where everyone, residents and staff alike, can thrive. Her motto sums it up perfectly: “There is never a problem. Always a solution.”
Joanne’s dedication has been recognised with several achievements, including a Leadership Award at the Scottish Care Awards in 2025. She is proud of the progress she has made in improving care, developing her team and creating a home where residents come first.
Looking ahead, Joanne’s vision for Bower Care Home is clear. She wants the home to be the first choice for families and residents seeking a warm, welcoming and supportive environment. “We are guests in our residents’ home,” she explains. She also places a strong emphasis on teamwork. “Together Everyone Achieves More,” she says. “If you learn something new, it’s a day well spent."
With Joanne at the helm, Bower Care Home looks forward to building a vibrant, person-centred community where residents feel respected, supported and free to live life to the fullest. Her experience, warmth, and passion are already making a difference and we are excited to see how she will shape this new chapter in our home’s story.
The whole Bower Care Home family is delighted to welcome Joanne and looks forward to creating a welcoming, caring, and lively home together.
